ABOUT HYSTERESIS DYNAMOMETER

The Hysteresis Dynamometer (AHD Series) is widely known for its versatility and suitability for low to medium power testing. Compared to other types of brakes, hysteresis brakes can generate torque without relying on speed, which allows for testing from no load to locked rotor.
The brake cooling is provided through two different methods depending on the model. The hysteresis dynamometer model may use convection cooling (with no wind source) or air cooling (with compressed air AHD series or blower BHD series) to prevent overheating. This feature ensures the safety of the device, especially during testing procedures that require a wide range of heat radiation, continuous, or short-term intermittent power.
The accuracy of the hysteresis dynamometer ranges from ±0.25% to ±0.5% of full scale, depending on the size and system composition of the device. Its design also includes special features that make it suitable for high-speed motor testing. Different types of motors (AC and DC motors) can be tested for their torque, speed, power, and other performance testing needs.
